Known for its Christmas holiday season concerts, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, or TSO was founded in 1996 in New York City by Paul O'Neill, Jon Oliva, Robert Kinkel, and Al Pitrelli. O'Neill and company named TSO after the Trans-Siberian Railway in Russia. The orchestra is most famous for their Christmas-themed series of rock operas for which they do an annual winter tour.
